Virus Alert

Thanks to my lovely sister, this song is forever running through my mind and it will not get out!!! However, it is exceptionally hilarious. You kind of have to hear the music to go with it to make it that extra bit of funny though. It’s by none other than the fabulous Weird Al Yankovic.

Hey, everyone, listen up, your attention if you please
We wanna give you a warning
‘Cause I found out this morning
About a dangerous, insidious computer virus
If you should get an email with the subject, ’stinky cheese’
Better off protecting your chances
Under no circumstances, should you open it
Or else it will

Translate your documents into Swahili
Make your TV record “Gigli”
Neuter your pets, and give your laundry static cling
Look out!
It’s gonna make your computer screen freeze
Look out!
Erase the Easter eggs off your DVDs
Look out!
Erase your hard drive and your backups too
And the hard drive of anyone related to you

Virus alert!
Delete immediately before someone gets hurt!
Forward this message on to everybody

Soon, very soon, it will make all the paint peel off your walls
It’ll make your keyboard all sticky
Give your poodle a hickey
And invest your cash in stock in Euro Disney
Then, it will tie up your phone, making prank long-distance calls
It’ll set your clocks back an hour and start clogging the shower
So just trash it now, or else it will

Decide to give you a permanent wedgie,
Legally change your name to Reggie,
Even mess up the pH balance in your pool

Look out!
It’s gonna melt your face right off your skull
Look out!
And make your iPod only play Jethro Tull
Look out!
And tell you knock-knock jokes while you’re trying to sleep
Look out!
And make you physically attracted to sheep
Look out!
Steal your identity and your credit card
Look out!
Buy you a warehouse full of pink leotards
Look out!
Then cause a major rift in time and space
And leave a bunch of Twinkie wrappers all over the place
That’s right it’s a

Virus alert!
Delete immediately before someone gets hurt!
Forward this message on to everybody

Virus alert!
Delete immediately before someone gets hurt!
Forward this message on to everybody
Warn all your friends, send this to everybody
Tell everyone you know, tell everybody now

If you get infected, you’ll wish you had never been born
So before it emails your grandmother all of your porn
Turn off your computer and make sure it powers down
Drop it in a forty-three-foot hole in the ground
Bury it completely; rocks and boulders should be fine
Then burn all the clothes you may have worn any time you were alive!

Virus alert!
Delete immediately before someone gets hurt!

Virus alert!
Delete immediately before someone gets hurt!
Forward this message on to everybody
Warn all your friends, send this to everybody
Tell everyone you know, tell everybody now
What are you waiting for?
Just hurry up and forward this to every single person that you know!
Hit send right now!

Mercies New

Mercies New – by Nichole Nordeman.

Is it fair to say I was lured away?
By endless distractions and lovelier attractions then
Or fairer still, my own free will
Is the better one to blame for this familiar mess
I’ve made again

So I would understand if You were out of patience
And I would understand if I was out of chances

Your mercies are new every morning
So let me wake with the dawn
When the music is through or so it seems to be
Let me sing a new song, old things gone
Every day it’s true, You make all Your mercies new

The distance left between East and West
Is how far You would go to forget the debt I’ve owed
And thrown into the sea, the wicked ways in me
Will never have a chance to wash back on the sand

So I would understand if You would make me pay
I would understand lying in the bed I made again

Your mercies are new every morning
So let me wake with the dawn
When the music is through or so it seems to be
Let me sing a new song, old things gone
Every day it’s true, You make all Your mercies new

Up comes the sun on every one of us
Gone, gone, gone the guilt and shame that knew Your name

Your mercies are new every morning
So let me wake with the dawn
When the music is through or so it seems to be
Let me sing a new song, old things gone
Every day it’s true, You make all Your mercies new

What if?

I just downloaded the new Nichole Nordeman CD, called Recollection. It’s basically a “best” type album, with all her hits and best songs. A great starter CD for those interested in listening to her! Anyways, one of her latest songs that was on her last album called Brave, is called What if? and it always struck a chord with me. Well, actually, I have a great appreciation/respect for her song writing, she writes some incredible stuff. I’ll post some more of her songs throughout the next few weeks as I listen to the new album…but for now, here’s Nichole Nordeman’s What if?.

What if you’re right?
And he was just another nice guy
What if you’re right?
What if it’s true?
They say the cross will only make a fool of you
And what if it’s true?

What if he takes his palace in history
With all the prophets and the kings
Who taught us love and came in peace
But then the story ends
What then?

(Chours)
But what if you’re wrong?
What if there’s more?
What if there’s hope you never dreamed of hoping for?
What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He’s more than enough?
What if it’s love?

What if you dig, What if you dig
Way down deeper than your simple-minded friends
What if you dig?
What if you find
A thousand more unanswered questions inside
That’s all you find

What if you pick apart the logic
And begin to poke the holes
What if the crown of thorns is no more
Then folklore that must be told and retold

(Chours)

You’ve been running as fast as you can
You’ve been looking for a place you can land so long
But what if you’re wrong?

What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He’s more than enough?
What if it’s love?

My Name

This song makes me cry literally everytime I listen to it. It’s called “My Name” by George Canyon. After you’re done crying over this song, you can head over to his website and watch his video called “I want you to live”, and enjoy some more tears!!

It’s cold in here feels like everything’s upside down

I can feel you talking but I can barely make out the sound

I’ve been kicking around these parts for what feels like a year

I’m gunna change this world if I ever get out of here

She wants to dress me in pink, paints my bedroom blue

I just laugh to myself ’cause only I know the truth

This love is my only emotion

Haven’t learned any fear and pain

It’s kind of funny with all this commotion

Guess they’ve got me to blame

And they don’t even know my name

They don’t even know my name

Well I’ve never felt so ready, think it’s finally time

Cause that big ol’ world is waiting, and it’s mine all mine

Just then everything got real quiet, got real bright

And a man took my hand said “don’t worry” Mama’s gonna be alright

Then he opened the gates, and I followed him in

Said “you can wait right here, till it’s your turn again”

And His love is the one true emotion

Heaven knows no fear, no pain

I never got to set my wheels in motion

But they loved me just the same

And they didn’t even know my name

Didn’t even know my name

You loved me just the same

And you didn’t even know my name.

Creed

I was listening to Third Day – Offerings II today, and this song really moved me, so, alas, I give you the lyrics.

I believe in God the Father

Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth

And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, our Lord

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit

Born of the virgin Mary

Suffered under Pontius Pilate

He was crucified and dead and buried

And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it, no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe that He who suffered was crucified, buried, and dead

He descended into Hell and on the third day, rose again

He ascended into Heaven where He sits at God’s almighty right hand

I believe that He’s returning

To judge the quick and the dead and the sons of men

And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it, no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe it, I believe it

I believe it

I believe it, I believe it

I believe in God the Father

Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth

And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, our Lord

I believe in the Holy Spirit

One Holy Church

The communion of Saints

The forgiveness of sin

I believe in the resurrection

I believe in a life that never ends

I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it, no it is making me

I did not make it, no it is making me

I said I did not make it, no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe it, I believe

I believe it, I believe

I believe it, I believe it

I believe it, I believe it

I believe it, I believe it

I believe it

First, I’m not even sure anymore if I am spelling believe right anymore. Believe doesn’t even look like a word to me anymore. Have you ever had that happen? Where you write or look at a word too much and you begin to doubt the word or the spelling or whatever??? Weird.

Second, I would like to say that until today I had never heard of the idea that Jesus went to Hell for three days before he was raised from the dead. I would love to hear anyone’s biblical point of view about this, as I’m not sure where I stand on that. It is a very interesting thought, one that I intend on researching to the fullest. (I hope I’m not opening up TOO big a can of worms here, as when I asked Dan about it, he was just like well, that’s a debate that has been going on for about 2000 years! haha…)

EDIT: Wow, I must be tired. I just read over this last blurb and I realized I said anymore about 50 thousand times. Sorry about that.

Cry No More

After I turned my life back over to the Lord in the summer of 2002, I couldn’t listen to hip hop or rap type music anymore, because of the vileness of the lyrics. And then, I found Cross Movement!! These guys have amazingly deep lyrics, and I’m sure that God is using them in that genre of the music industry in reaching young men and women in a way that they are most deeply affected – in their music. I first fell in love with this song, Cry No More, which is from their Holy Culture album. If you are at all even mildly interested in this genre of music, I’d recommend picking up this cd, you get to enjoy the hip hop beat, without the vulgar hatred ridden lyrics of today’s secular hip hop type music. In fact, the lyrics in these songs will actually move you, if you are not distracted by the “beat”. Anyways, here’s the lyrics, I took them straight off of the Cross Movement website, so thanks to them I guess!

One day I won’t cry no more

Can’t wait for the day when people won’t die no more

Daddies won’t say “bye” no more; lie no more

In the streets bullets won’t fly no more

Won’t feel no pain no more

Won’t have to push, pull won’t have to strain no more

Won’t have to walk lame no more,

Won’t have to play the game no more

One day we’re takin’ off baby

and ever since the Lord saved me,

I’ve been waitin for the day we can say “it’s all gravy”

It’s all crazy tryin to see life when it’s all hazy

And how can I persist to do right when I’m all lazy?

Feel me? Too much pain: it all ails me

Vexed, cuz I feel the effects of The Fall daily

The pain in my chest is strong

Let’s get on, come Lord, quick, bring on Your eschaton

End the search, start the New Earth, flex your true worth

Honor your Son, let him come, perfect the new birth

And we don’t gotta prove that God is cool

Just know when God is through, no more Godless rule

So I’m anxious to praise the Ancient of Days

My brain’s still amazed at how I can see that pain is a phase,

Soon to be eclipsed at the Son’s return,

When we get what He gives and not what we’ve earned.

One day I won’t cry no more

Can’t wait for the day when people won’t die no more

Daddies won’t say “bye” no more; lie no more

In the streets bullets won’t fly no more

Won’t feel no pain no more

Won’t have to push, pull won’t have to strain no more

Won’t have to walk lame no more,

Won’t have to play the game no more

There’s comin a day that’ll be much better than now,

No more hurts, no more work by the sweat of your brow

No more drunk drivers drivin all out of control

No more flats and being stuck on the side of the road

Believe me, no more turnin on the TV,

Hearing kids say “For the price of coffee you can feed me.”

In fact, no more anthrax in the mail, no jail, no blizzards, no twisters, no hail.

It’ll be the end of rain and the end of planes,

Being hijacked and flown into window panes

It’ll be nice just, imagine a world that’ll be righteous, no more middle east crisis

No more drugs, plus no more thugs and pimps

No more beat-downs, no more getting mugged for Timbs

No need for rampsm no need for wheelchairs,

No need for weaves cuz you’ll feel your real hair.

One day I won’t cry no more

Can’t wait for the day when people won’t die no more

Daddies won’t say “bye” no more; lie no more

In the streets bullets won’t fly no more

Won’t feel no pain no more

Won’t have to push, pull won’t have to strain no more

Won’t have to walk lame no more,

Won’t have to play the game no more

One day, when this life is over, we will live forever together with our King.

Now Christ is the Rock and believe me the Rock’s steady

He drops heavy so stop screamin “I’m not ready”.

God said he’s coming like a theif, kid, so peep it,

He’ll creep it, it’s meant to be unknown like a secret

This is what many are having “beef” with

God’s rotisserie style will make a brother’s teeth grit

‘Cause He’s quick, but not according to our concept of speed

Looking at man, He thought about the depth of our needs

So what this means is, He’s not slow

The King is waitin’ to bring kids to Christ where the real “bling” is

So they can sing His praise all because they’ve seen this

God spill His blood to show His love at it’s zenith

He proved he “cut” for them, look what he gave up for them

Paid His life since you can’t pay bucks for sin

Justice then teamed up with longsuffering

Big Ups to Him who gave you and me time to trust in Him.

One day I won’t cry no more

Can’t wait for the day when people won’t die no more

Daddies won’t say “bye” no more; lie no more

In the streets bullets won’t fly no more

Won’t feel no pain no more

Won’t have to push, pull won’t have to strain no more

Won’t have to walk lame no more,

Won’t have to play the game no more

One day I won’t cry no more

Can’t wait for the day when people won’t die no more

Daddies won’t say “bye” no more; lie no more

In the streets bullets won’t fly no more

Won’t feel no pain no more

Won’t have to push, pull won’t have to strain no more

Won’t have to walk lame no more,

Won’t have to play the game no more

Dearly Beloved

I got an iTunes gift certificate for Christmas, and I just finally spent some of it!! I bought the new Faith Hill album called Fireflies. (Sorry but I’m too lazy right now to make links for those. If you wanna see it, go Google it!) Anyways, the second track is called Dearly Beloved, and I instantly loved it. Normally, I don’t really appreciate songs like this, but this song is done in a very obviously mocking type way. We could get into a really big discussion about the meaning of this song, and how it’s so sad because it happens so often, and why do people make these choices, bla bla blah. But, personally, I’d rather just enjoy the song for today and take it a little more lightheartedly. So here it is:

Good Morning Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to watch two people we know make a big mistake.

They’ll stand up at the altar and solemnly swear “I do”. They’ll be together forever until they find somebody new.

Her Daddy’s in the front row muttering “oh no, here we go again. They had a couple dates, now she’s three months late, and it’s twenty bucks a plate I spent….oh.”

Good Morning, Dearly Beloved, I’d like to welcome y’all to see the side effects of sex and alchohol.

Please bow your heads and join me in a prayer for these two, they’ll be together forever until they find somebody new.

The bride is a flirt, and the groom is much worse - as he’s putting the ring on her he’s checking out the bridesmaids thinking that he might take the maid of honor’s honor, oh!

Welcome Dearly Beloved, we are here this afternoon to throw rice as these two drive down the road to ruin. With cans tied to the bumper, and a draggin’ muffler too, they’ll be together forever until they find somebody new.

So raise your glass and join me, here’s to the bride and groom, they’ll be together forever until they find somebody new!

Anyways. I’m sure I’ll get sick of it soon, being as it is, a seemingly sad story for the poor child soon to suffer from their immaturity, but for now, I’ll enjoy it while I can still emotionally detach from it and enjoy it’s catchy rythym. :P

These Four Walls

I was listening to Sara Evans today, and I noticed a song at the end of the cd that I hadn’t yet got to, and I was literally moved to tears. If I was talented in the songwriting department, this is the song I would have written about my life. To the T, minus the 3 kids part, I only have 2….yet. The song is called These Four Walls, you can listen to a snipit by clicking on the link, finding the title, and clicking to hear it.

Wasn’t that long ago, I was skipping to school with a lunchbox, pigtails in my hair. Where did the time go? One minute I’m playing in the sandbox…how’d I get to here from there? Making lunches and folding clothes is not the most glamorous life I know, but I’ve got so much more than most.

I’m not famous, but my kids think I’m a star. I’m not rich, but I’ve made a million memories so far. I may not be a model, but my man thinks I could be. I may not be from royalty, but in these four walls I’m a Queen.

Had it all planned…first I’d make it big in Nashville, then take Hollywood by storm. But it was in God’s hands, there were three little lives that would need me to one day be their Mom. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, those movie stars don’t have everything. I know I’m right where I wanna be.

I’m not famous, but my kids think I’m a star. I’m not rich, but I’ve made a million memories so far. I may not be a model, but my man thinks I could be. I may not be from royalty, but in these four walls I’m a Queen.

I had to let it go, but I have no regrets….I would have never know this kind of happiness.

I’m not famous, but my kids think I’m a star. I’m not rich, but I’ve made a million memories so far. I may not be a model, but my man thinks I could be. I may not be from royalty, but in these four walls I’m a Queen.

I think the parts of this song that speak most to me, is the first verse, sort of being one minute I’m just a kid, the next I’m folding clothes and making lunches. That just really spoke to me, because I have had the experience of saying wait a minute…how’d this happen?? But yet I couldn’t be happier with where I’m at, and I really wouldn’t trade it for the world. I just love this song. I think I’m going to listen to it 10 times a day for the next week. If anyone’s wondering what I’ll be singing in the shower for the next few days, it will be this song. ;) Also as an added bonus to the lyrics of this song being amazing, the music is beautiful as well, and it’s really great to sing along with and belt out!!! I don’t even worry about sparing my husband and children!!! :D
