Little Man went to bed super early tonight… well, for him anyways. He was in bed around 9:30pm. Over the last few weeks it’s been more like 1am, so 9:30 is quite out of the ordinary. Only thing is, I don’t know what to do with myself now!!! Easy way to waste time when you don’t know what to do… surf the net. And listen to Russel Peters. (Comedian)
We are in the process of an extensive house hunt (since about August) and I recently discovered that new home prices are about 50,000$ less on average than being right in the city. I knew there would be a difference but I didn’t think it would be that much of a difference. There are a few houses we are interested in so we’re going to check them out sometime in the next week or so. The only downside is that the only outer lying community near us that we are intersted in living in is a refinery town, and lots of people have bad things to say about what that would do to your health. I know the rates of Asthma and MS are higher in the refinery communities… but what does that mean, really? And we don’t plan to live there for years on end, only maye 5 or so, depending on what MyKidsDad ends up doing career wise. I mean, he’s happy where he is currently, but you just never know where life takes you.
Buying a house is really hard. I knew making a decision would be difficult but I didn’t think it would be THIS difficult. There are so many factors to include… and now that The Boy is in school, we have to think about that too. If we moved to that refinery town I’m not sure that he could be bussed from there, we might end up having to drive him. We currently drive him to school, and he busses home, but he’d have to be driven both ways if we moved probably. And even if they did offer bussing, I’m sure that would be an excruciating long ride for him. Anyways, I just hope we are able to make a decision before the summer… I’ll give it winter and spring for us to figure this all out!!
And yes, even though he went to bed early and I have all this extra uninterrupted time, I wasn’t spending it cleaning up! I know! Sinner! I did clean up the family room the other day though. And my living room is still semi clean, and I did vacuum the kitchen and dining room and MyKidsDad cleaned up most of the dishes for me. <3 He’s the best.
